Home Consultations
Home consultations are a chance for me to get acquainted with my clients and their site. Prior to the meeting, clients are encouraged to fill out my Client Questionnaire to clarify their goals and aspirations for their landscape. Filling this out before the consultation makes for a more productive meeting that is tailored to the client’s priorities. During the consultation, clients may ask about identifying existing plants and how best to care for them, ask questions about future plantings or space layouts, or ask for suggestions on how to start the process of designing a whole new landscape.
Consultations typically last 2 hours or more. During the visit, I take notes about the existing conditions of the site, areas of concern, client priorities, etc. I may also take photographs, site measurements, or sketch out basic site maps to organize information. I always come prepared with books and other information pertinent to the client’s interests. Any questions that cannot be answered on site will be answered via email or a phone call shortly after the meeting.
Consultations are charged on an hourly basis, including one-way of travel time to residents living more than 30 min. from NE Portland. Please call or email for rates.
